Hey all,
As you all read yesterday on FB, I was feeling homesick. I am fine, not driving off any bridges! I'm proud it only took 3 months to feel that way. I'm alright now. It was one of those days where I missed my old surroundings, my mountains, my friends, and the food. I made Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas to curb the food craving. I was going to write a blog about it and even took pictures but I feel like I'm not a good recipe writer so, I'm just going to update on us.

LOTS 'o' cheese |
The second week of the girls sharing a room is still rough but getting better. It helps that Bri's cough has subsided but Avi has been getting up early and not really napping. It's a crime against humanity when children wake their parents up early AND don't take a nap. It's all worth it, though. I guess I'll sleep when I'm dead! lol

Some update on Avi's therapy. We had her re-eval today and she's doing amazing! She has been asking to "wak, wak" more She's climbing stairs with help like a pro and walked the length of the hallway at PT today. She fell down a couple times but would get right up and keep going. Her sessions have been reduced to 1x a week for 6 weeks then another re-eval.
I had a conversation with Bri's pre-school teacher who mentioned that Bri has been talking too much lately and if you really know Bri, all you can do is laugh and agree. It seems since she's been sick, she's shown the school a side of her we ALWAYS see, lol. I told the teacher "Welcome to my life!" She said she's still well behaved, just has been a little hyper. She mentioned this is about the time kids get comfortable and shed the "community manners." We will just keep reminding her how important it is to have her listening ears on. In swim class this week, the kids lost 6 minutes of free time so it seems Bri isn't the only one misplacing her listening ears. The adventures of life with a 4-1/2 yr old going on 16!

We also replaced our precious totaled Highlander with a used Sienna. This guy I know got us a really sweet deal ;). He happens to work at Labadie Toyota. Those who really know me, know I never really got over the necessary replacement of the Swagger Wagon (our '11 Toyota Sienna SE) and have been fawning over minivans since. If someone told me 10 years ago, I would love having a mini van, I might have spit up my soda in their face. Oh, how time changes things! Here she is! I want to call her Big Red or Ginger. What would you name her?
